About me

I’ve worked on various digital design projects for over 12 years, collaborating with some of the largest agencies in Denmark. Since January 2024, I’ve been working in the financial sector, focusing on making everyday life easier for private and business banking customers across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the Faroe Islands.

For many years, my work centered around project-based design, where I collaborated with numerous clients —often several at once. In the fall of 2023, I was offered the opportunity to leave the project-oriented, consultant-style work behind and transition into a product designer role. It’s a change I haven’t regretted, as it allows me to work through multiple iterations and find the best possible solutions.

My work believes

I see a designer as a connector — someone who naturally bridges the creative, the business, the client, project management, development, and, most importantly, the end user. That’s why I believe in close collaboration across all parts of a project.

I don’t believe in the “big one-time sign-off” approach, where everything is approved after just one or two meetings. Instead, I prefer working through smaller sessions, aligning on partial deliverables with all stakeholders along the way. That’s why I’m convinced that close and continuous communication among all parties throughout a project’s lifetime is key to ensuring everyone’s needs and goals are met.

Design is an iterative process — great results rarely come from the first attempt, but are shaped and refined throughout the journey.

My values

I do my best work when I can approach complex challenges creatively and turn them into solutions that genuinely make sense for the people using them. To me, creativity is not about novelty for its own sake, but about understanding people, needs, and context — and bringing clarity to what might otherwise feel complicated.

Recognition, for me, means that design is met with curiosity and respect. That the intention behind a solution is understood, and that we share responsibility for bringing it to life in the right way. I believe in open dialogue, transparency, and close collaboration — because the strongest outcomes emerge when we share knowledge and ask questions instead of making assumptions.

Balance is equally important to me. Both within the workday — where there should be room for focused deep work as well as thoughtful collaboration — and in life beyond work. I thrive in a sustainable rhythm where ambition, quality, and wellbeing go hand in hand.

The personal side of me

I live just outside Copenhagen in a cozy old townhouse with my wife and our toddler daughter — which means most days include equal parts love, laughter, and chasing a very determined small human.

When we get the chance, we escape the everyday rush and go camping with our rooftop tent. We keep it simple, pack only what fits in the car, and spend a few days slowing down, breathing fresh air, and remembering how little you actually need.

I work in a very digital world, but I’ve always been drawn to analog things. Vinyl records. Printed books. Magazines. Printed photos. Objects with weight, texture, and a bit of resistance. They ask you to be present.

Maybe it’s because I’m an early-80s kid, but I appreciate things that don’t move too fast. I like having to get up to change a record — it makes listening feel intentional, not just something happening in the background.
